Nerissa Manabat

Nerissa has been educating young minds since 2010, and has been teaching English, Social Studies, and Geography at Maples Collegiate since 2011. She holds a Bachelor of Arts, a Bachelor of Education, and a Post Baccalaureate Diploma in Education (General Stream) from the University of Winnipeg. Additionally, Nerissa is TESOL certified (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages).

Professionally, she is passionate about special education, particularly in the area of autism. In her school and community, she is involved in fostering Filipino cultural learning. Outside of her teaching role, Nerissa enjoys spending quality time with her entire family, especially her three young children. One of her favourite places is being at home in the kitchen cooking up a storm!
