Ron Iscala
Ron is both an artist and an educator. A licensed architect and SPED Teacher in the Philippines, he used these skills in teaching. With more than five years experience as an architect and building management, Ron was hired to work as a design coordinator in a Japanese firm in Dubai and later worked in a Dubai-based SPED School, Al Noor Training Centre, managed then by Princess Haya bint Hussein of Dubai. Moving to Canada gave him an opportunity to be a licensed SPED Teacher and eventually, to use his skills in arts to teach literacy in early years education. He believes that art is a great tool for learning and comprehension. Since 2018, he’s one of the pioneers in the first Fil-Bilingual Program in Winnipeg, Canada. Currently he is teaching Grades 2 and 3 at A.E. Wright Community School.
