Porfiria Pedrina

Dr. Porfiria Pedrina considers herself as a lifelong learner. She earned her Bachelor of Arts, Bachelor of Secondary Education, and Master of Arts in Education from St. Michael's College of Laguna and her Doctorate degree in Education from University of Perpetual Help Systems-Laguna, Philippines in 2000. She completed her minor teachable area at University of Manitoba in 2007. While in 2021, she obtained her comprehensive certification in School Management and Leadership from Harvard University. She has received accolades including the  Queen Elizabeth II’s Platinum Jubilee Medallion from Manitoba in 2023 and Golden Balangay from Ontario in 2024 for her strong advocacies and community volunteerism. She exhibits a visionary and transformational leadership. The shared vision led to the founding of SOFEA, Inc. in 2012, and the offering of the first Filipino Bilingual Program in Canada at A. E. Wright Community School in 2018. She has been an educator since 1994  and as VP under S.O.S.D. since 2020. Outside of school, she enjoys travelling with her family and friends during her holidays.
